High frequency words (decodable or tricky) The activities on this page relate to the 100 words that recur frequently in written English, as defined in the "Letters and sounds" teaching programme (Primary National Strategy). We have combined in this section the high frequency words from Phase 2 and Phase 3 ( Letters and Sounds). Most of these words have already been included in all our activities.
